Thanks Lenny, this is incredible value. Still, took a day to think about it and now have become an Insider. As a solo product builder, this turned out to be a no-brainer. I just hope Devin will pay off. Testing it now!
Sorry unrelated to Devin, I got lovable via the membership perks but I want to upgrade for more credits. What would happen? Do I lose the 12 months free?
Email [email protected] and we'll see what's going on. The upgrade experience from Annual to Insider is very confusing, and I'm really sorry about that. We're working with Substack on this as our top priority. It works, it's just very confusing. If you run into any trouble, please email us.
And give it a few hours for Devin access to appear. The system has to recognize you're now an Insider, and it sometimes takes a bit.
I have the same questions ... If fact, seems a fresh charge was made to my card, when I already was a paid subscriber. Not prorated, so I'm not following the logic of the brand new charge. And still haven't got Devin access. Already emailed [email protected]
Don't want to be difficult. But this is confusing.
Hey Juan, we're working with the Substack team to figure out the first part of this. On the access front: try logging out of the Product Pass site and logging back in and see if that updates your Devin access.
So, just to understand. I subscribed previously to the highest annual tier that you had. Now, in order to get the Devin benefit, because you’ve changed your pricing and moved around your tiers, in order to get this benefit I have to pay again? So rather than this be a value add for me, this is a value extract for you? And you promote it like a value add when it’s really just a way for you to extract more money from me? Awww gee thanks.
Oh and just to be clear, I have access to Lovable, Bolt etc through my sub which (according to you) makes mine an Insider sub. But no access to Devin, hence the above.
I've got a TON of value out of it, but I feel what Tim is saying. If I want to access Devin, do I have to spend $350 today? Does the upgrade prorate? Does this give new codes to the services that are now labeled with the insider banner? If I recall, during the Cursor addition there was a single $200 tier.
And the upgrade prorates! Substack calculates how long is left in your Annual sub and prorates accordingly (though it's extremely annoying that it doesn't display that amount before checkout, we're working on that w/ the Substack team).
Hey Tim, looks like you're on our Annual tier. We launched the Insider tier back in July when we did that huge drop of partners. All those tools (incl. Bolt and Lovable) launched at the Annual tier on a first come, first serve basis (and some have since sold out at that tier, though there's still 12+ tools available for Annual subscribers). The Insider tier has reserved codes for all tools, plus some Insider-only products (like Devin).

Welcome! 💪
I've got a Devin!
Thanks again, @Lenny. You've really helped me get over some of the AI-tools-jitters and your podcasts are pretty awesome as well ;)

Ziwei: It might take some time for the payment processing to update our accounts (maybe it's a 1x or 2x a day update).
Nick: I just upgraded too and it charged me a pro-rated amount, which was left over from my $200 annual sub.

Also definitely recommend logging out of the Product Pass site and logging back in!

Sorry for the confusion, Juan! Our team will investigate and get back to you asap.

Hey Tim, nothing has changed in terms or pricing or tiers with this launch. We simply added Devin to the Insider collection.
We'll also be adding a bunch of other incredible products to both Annual and Insider over the coming months.
So if you got the Insider subscription last time, you should be all set. Email us at [email protected] and we'll confirm, or see what's up.
Email incoming.

If you are an Insider, yes you get access to all products.

I definitely got the insider last time as I have access to Bolt Lovable et al. But the Devin button tells me I need an insider sub which I have.
Strange. Please email us and we’ll see what’s up. [email protected]
